According to the joint commercial activities’ development program, we received between the 26th and 29th of February 2024, a visit from DuPont™ to our facilities in Luanda.
Ajen Maharaj, DuPont™ DDP Specialty Products Business Leader for Sub-Sahararian Africa and Dharmesh Lakmidas, Sales Manager of DuPont™ Nomex®, kicked off the knowledge transfer process to our technical and commercial areas.
The visit also included presentations to BRIMONT Customers, at which we had the opportunity to highlight the advantages in terms of safety, effectiveness and the expected contribution to reducing the negative impacts resulting from imports of this product that we already produce in Angola.
In this first phase, we have planned a monthly production of around 400 fire resistant certified coveralls, tailored with Nomex® technical fabrics – this final product we make in Angola hold the same quality of the top products available at the main international markets.
The Nomex® fabrics we use are made of a fiber that is inherently thermal-resistant, withstanding extreme stress — providing an ideal solution for Oil&Gas and other flame risk and high-temperature environments.
BRIMONT is strongly committed with the development of pertinent local industrial activities and with the training and development of Angolan workforce.
